Today (July 14) we’ve announced a game-changing international conference providing a platform for experts across the globe to share solutions on global food system transformation

Organized with IPES-Food, Birdlife International and other partners, the Extinction or Regeneration conference will offer individuals, organizations, companies and other experts the opportunity to present solutions for transforming our global food and farming systems for better human, animal and planetary health.

Hosted as a hybrid meetingat the QEII Conference Centre in London and online, on May 11-12, 2023—this major international conference will include plenary sessions with inspirational speakers, roundtable discussions, networking and facilitated action workshops to catalyze collaboration and change.

Building momentum behind solutions

Bringing together diverse interests—including environment, public health, food business, food policy, conservation, finance and animal welfare—the program will enable attendees to explore, share, and build momentum behind existing and new solutions. From lobbying for change in the worlds of global politics and finance to demonstrating efficient and nature-positive solutions...all methods for transformation are on the table.

The event has been organized as an unprecedented opportunity for the disruptors of food-as-usual to share knowledge and insights on how these and other key issues can be tackled.

Accelerating emergencies

In this age of hunger and accelerating climate and biodiversity emergencies, radical reform of the global food system is urgently needed. That’s why we are delighted to partner with IPES-Food, Birdlife International and other influential international organizations to bring you this unprecedented event that will give experts all over the world the opportunity to share their solutions to fix our broken food system.
Philip Lymbery, Global CEO, Compassion in World Farming
The event follows the successful Extinction and Livestock Conference which took place in October 2017 in London. This seminal event, organized by Compassion in World Farming in partnership with WWF (UK), BirdLife International, the European Environment Bureau, and other partners, examined how livestock production and its use of finite resources were devastating biodiversity and pushing wildlife to the brink of extinction. It brought together 540 delegates from over 30 countries.

Registration for the event will open in September 2022. Read more about the Extinction or Regeneration conference at the dedicated event website.
